Budapest 11 - 15.12.18

When people ask me which is my favourite city to visit in Europe, I usually say Budapest, Hungary's beautiful capital city. I spent six days in this stunning city during the Summer of 2017, as part of my Interrailling trip, the first tour I'd planned myself. Last December I returned and this gave me a very different, but equally good, impression of the place. Instead of it being 35 degrees in baking sunlight, and it even snowed on the last day. The winter weather delayed our plane by two hours, but it was worth it, as this made the Central European city the classic Winter Wonderland theme I was hoping to see.

If you're wondering, I have already planned my next escapade, a similar city break, this time to the Polish city of Krakow in March. I've heard great things about the place and I'm looking forward to seeing it in person.
